San Diego Fires

If you haven't heard, a good part of San Diego County is on fire. It started early sunday and really hasn't been too contained as it moves steadily towards the ocean. Carlsbad, where we live, is under a voluntary evacuation and is about 15 miles from the blaze itself. I think things are pretty secure for us but the winds are very unpredictable and could change instantly.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that we were fine. It's a bit smoky and there is a lot of ash in the air. Besides that everything is good.

Its very difficult watching the local news because you see house upon house going up in flames. They say that about 500 homes are already lost. I have a feeling that will be more like 1500 once this is all finished.
